A rework of my Robinson Crusoe book cover taking into account tutor feedback of potentially using mixed media in my design. 

I used Pyrography and etched my illustration into a piece of wood. I then used it to block print onto paper and import into Photoshop to look like blood in sand... (the dark cannibalism storyline in Robinson Crusoe!)

Completely down to the readers discretion though... it could be blood in the sand, it could represent fire.
